Ellsworth School Department is beginning an essential project to modernize our communication and safety infrastructure across the district, and we’re looking to partner with a qualified contractor for the job!
Ellsworth School Department is now accepting proposals for a comprehensive, IP-based Intercom and Communication Safety System. This project aims to provide a unified communication bridge across five geographically distinct sites, serving approximately 1,300 students and staff. The selected solution must function as a highly effective tool for daily operations—supporting announcements, synchronized clocks, and multi-zone bell schedules—while delivering robust, real-time capabilities during emergency situations.
The project includes Ellsworth Elementary Middle School, Ellsworth High School, Hancock County Technical Center, the Central Office, and our Bus Garage. Contractors should design solutions that align with and leverage existing infrastructure, including our Grandstream VoIP phone system and upcoming network switch upgrades. The project also requires comprehensive outdoor audio coverage for athletic fields, playgrounds, and parking lots using equipment rated for continuous use in New England weather conditions.
