Tuesday April 9th is the day all juniors in the state of Maine will take the SAT test. We have been planning for weeks to make this day a quiet setting for all juniors to take the test as well as an educational experience for our 9th, 10th, and 12th graders. This year is the first year for awhile we are having juniors take the SAT at EHS. Next Tuesday the day has been planned for the following to happen.
Freshman Class-All freshman will spend the day at the University of Maine. They will get a tour of the campus, eat lunch in their cafeteria, see different programs the University offers, and get a chance to ask questions about college life in general. Students do not have to pay for lunch and all should dress comfortably including walking shoes. Students will arrive at the normal time in the morning and be back to school to board buses at the normal time in the afternoon.
Sophomore Class-All sophomores will spend the day at Husson University. They will have a tour of the campus, eat lunch in their cafeteria, see different programs the University offers, and get a chance to ask questions about college life in general. Students do not have to pay for lunch and all should dress comfortably including walking shoes. Students will arrive at the normal time in the morning and be back to school to board buses at the normal time in the afternoon.
Junior Class-Stay at Ellsworth High School to take the SAT test. Please arrive to school early, 7:45.
Senior Class-Many seniors have not completed their community service hours for graduation. EHS has set up opportunities for seniors to fulfill those hours. Please dress to spend the day outside unless there is inclement weather then they will be inside. Students will come back to EHS for lunch. HCTC seniors do have classes in the afternoon at HCTC.
