Due to the harsh conditions over the weekend, there is a shortage of buses. Buses 7 and 8 will experience late pickups on Monday morning 2/6/23. Parents can expect bus 7 and 8 students to be picked up between 7:40 and 8:30 am. We are hoping to return to regular timing in the afternoon. Thank-you for your understanding.

Bus #7 students will have a late drop off this evening - Monday 1/30. Students are expected to be dropped off between 3:30 and 4:00.

UPDATE:
The lockdown at EHS is over and all are safe and accounted for. The threat was deemed to be a part of the hoax going around Maine.
The staff at EHS did a tremendous job keeping our students calm.

Good Morning,
Shortly before 10:00am, EPD called to inform us to put Ellsworth HS in a lockdown due to a call that had come in at the police station. At this time, EHS is in lockdown and will be until the police announce we can re-open. There have been NO shootings or attacks at the school.
Please keep in mind that active shooter threats that are believed to be hoaxes have been reported at schools throughout Maine this morning. We do believe this is the case at Ellsworth HS. However, we will put the safety of our staff and students first. There has been a sweep of the building and all was clear. Currently, the Ellsworth Police Department is doing a complete sweep of every room to be sure all are safe and accounted for so we can resume activity.
The Ellsworth School Department will continue to provide updates.
