Ellsworth High School

I teach English for Freshman Team Lightning and two senior classes. I have been teaching for the past thirteen years. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College. I began my career teaching high school Russian and then went back to school for my Master’s degree in Secondary Education at the University of Scranton. After I received my Master’s, I taught high school English at Delaware Valley High School in Milford, PA for three years.

I taught English as a second language for one year at Marywood University in Scranton, PA before I moved to Boulder, CO where I taught in CU Boulder’s Comparative Literature program. After Colorado, I moved to California and returned to teaching English as a second language and English classes for the Bachelor’s and Associate’s programs at Santa Barbara Business College. I taught there for two years before moving to Maine.

I am happy to be a part of Freshman Academy and the English department. This is my second year teaching at Ellsworth High School.
