I am so honored to be a part of Ellsworth High! For the 2017-2018 school year, I am serving as a Special Education and English teacher, as well as a 504 Plan case manager. I teach 2 sections of 10th grade English, 1 section of 9th grade English, a Reading Lab, and a supported study hall.
I moved here in August 2016 from northeast Ohio with my husband and son, Noah. I went to Lake Erie College and Notre Dame College, receiving my bachelor's degree in English and my master's degree in Special Education. I have been teaching since 2002, where I began as an English teacher in a district near Cleveland. I then transferred to a career/tech center (similar to Hancock County Tech Center) and taught English and Special Education for 10 years. I also spent two years in a program for high school students with severe emotional disabilities. Despite enjoying the different schools and students I served over the years, I knew Maine was where I needed to be.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Go Eagles!
