I am very happy to be teaching Freshman Civics and Government at EHS. An important part of Freshman Academy is supporting students in their transition from middle school to high school. The Freshman Academy model is simply the best way to prepare students for the rest of their high school careers and beyond. In addition, I also teach Current Events. The Current Events class allows students in grades 10, 11, and 12 to explore important world, national and local topics through writing and oral presentations. This course provides an excellent vehicle for students to develop and polish their communication skills in preparation for college.

I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2011 with an education degree. I also hold Bachelor's degrees in History and Music, all from the U-Maine system. I was born and raised in Maine and it's here I intend to stay!
This will be my fifth year here at Ellsworth and I find the staff, school leadership and community second to none. I remain very excited about what we offer students and confident that we are providing the best educational opportunities possible. Go Eagles!!
