I have worked my entire professional life for the Ellsworth School Department serving as a school counselor for the past thirty-seven years. I earned my undergraduate degree in history and my master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Maine at Orono.

I begin working with students in the spring of the their 8th grade year and continue with those same students through graduation. This enables the student and their family and I to build a positive relationship that helps better serve the student.

I am a past president of the Maine Counseling Association, Eastern Maine Counseling Association, and currently serve on several advisory boards, including Husson’s Counselor Education and the MELMAC Financial Aid Maine School Support Initiative (MSSI). I belong to several professional organizations including the American Counseling and Development Association.
